To celebrate Cecil Sharp's visit in 1910, we have a number of events planned.

• Traipse - January 9th - This year our annual 'traipse' goes beyond the Grenoside boundary to take in many local villages.

• DVD Launch - January 10th - Our brand new DVD is launched. Come and see a preview, meet the dancers - and buy a copy!

• Grenoside Gala - W/E June 18th-20th - We will be working with usual Grenoside Gala team to deliver a number of events on gala day. See also the Grenoside Gala website.

• Hill Top Farm, Grenoside - August 27th - 100 years to the day after Sharp's visit, we will be performing a special tribute in the actual barn where the Grenoside team performed the dance for him.

• SDU Tournament - October 16th-17th - The Sword Dance Union's annual Tournament is to be held in Grenoside, with many teams thronging to the village to compete or simply to perform.
