| DVD Launch |
Sunday 10th January 2010 sees the launch of our brand new DVD at the Grenoside Methodist Chapel on Norfolk Hill.
The DVD is the most comprehensive document of the history of the sword dancers ever produced. It contains:
- 100s of photographs from 1895 onwards
- Film footage spanning the decades since the 1920s
- Detailed history of the team
- Biographies of all known dancers
- Scans of original documents
Join us for the launch of the DVD, where you will see a preview of the DVD, a short talk, and we will even give you a dance!
The itinerary is as follows:
- 11.30am Newcastle Kingsmen and Grenoside Sword Dancers to dance on the Millennium Green.
- 1.30pm Newcastle Kingsmen to dance inside the Old Harrow on Main Street.
- 2.00pm Launch of Grenoside DVD in the Methodist Chapel. Grenoside and Newcastle Kingsmen to dance.
